Band of the week: The Supersonics

So here's part 1 of an irregular "band of the week" slot on Feet up. Funnily enough most of my choices will be pretty similar to the criteria for inclusion on Ewan's TPN Rock podcast, the band have to fit one or more of the three U's: U

Nice one Ewan, my favourite Rock Show to date.

Maybe it's a shame to pigeonhole bands, but for those who haven't listened yet CYR are like Franz Ferdinand with a Seattle twist, the Supersonics gave me goosebumps, the Reverse Engineers have listened to too much early Rush (can one listen to *too* much?), Laurie Markvart is great, Broken Sunday are Evanesque (but better), and the last tango in Edinburgh topped it off nicely for me.

And Moulin Rouge not rocky? What about the cover of the T. Rex classic?

Thank you so very much for presenting my song "Take It Off" on your #13 Rock Show pod-cast. I was deeply honored that you inquired to begin with concerning the broadcast, but was amazed and over whelmed with excitement when myself and several family members listened to the pod-cast (for the first time). Your on-air personality is extremely likeable and it is very evident that you have a vast knowledge of music in numerous aspects. You made me very happy and inspired encouragement amidst an onslaught of some rather negative reviews on garage band. Thank you again Ewan! For ever a fan of yours!
