TPN Rock #37 – From a Real Live Studio
TPN Rock #37 – From a Real Live Studio (MP3 31.0 mb 33 minutes 50 seconds)
LISTEN HERE
Much as I love the portable home set-up I have here for doing TPN Rock, there’s always a tinge of jealousy when I see all the flashy lights and knobs and buttons that a mainstream DJ gets to play with as he pumps out the 25 playlisted tracks from ‘The Labels.’ Well, I can be jealous no more.
A big thanks to Leith FM for letting me loose in their studios this afternoon to do TPN Rock #37. It means the show is going to feel a little bit differnet this week. Welcome to “as-live,” one-take TPN Rock. From the top, to the bottom, non-stop, all the way through. You can play count the fluffs (there’s two I’m aware of) but listening back I think the show benefits from the flow of music and talkie bits. As always, comments are appreciated, either here in the blog or emailed over to me (ewanspence at gmail dot com). Oh and here’s the link to TPN Rock in iTunes.

Live from Leith, love it :-)
Can I nominate Meriwether, Lola Spinner, Inkognito, and Jaugernaut for the next best of show? It was tough cutting it down to 4 bands, Soft and Brunt of It are bloody good too.
Great evocative guitar work on the Ultimate Ears advert, where did you find that track?

Jim,
Sounds like you had a great time with all the songs then? Good! As to the Ultimate Ears advert, it is a track that’s previously played on TPN Rock – you’ll have to hit the archives!
